Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to 28 Thali. 28 Thali offers this website, including all information, tools and Services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here.
By visiting our site and/ or purchasing something from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms of Service”, “Terms”), including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein and/or available by hyperlink. These Terms of Service apply to all users of the site, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and/ or contributors of content.
Please read these Terms of Service carefully before accessing or using our website. By accessing or using any part of the site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions of this agreement, then you may not access the website or use any Services. If these Terms of Service are considered an offer, acceptance is expressly limited to these Terms of Service.
Any new features or tools that are added to the current store shall also be subject to the Terms of Service. You can review the most current version of the Terms of Service at any time on this page. We reserve the right to update, change or replace any part of these Terms of Service by posting updates and/or changes to our website. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically for changes. Your continued use of or access to the website following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with an online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and Services to you.
1. Order process
To learn more about the sign-up process for 28 Thali, please refer to our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs). The minimum order requirement is the 28 Thali Weekly plan. To purchase a 28 Thali delivery, you must be at least 18 years old (or a business managed by someone at least 18 years old).
Limited-Time Trial Offer (available on specific dates at 28 Thali's discretion):
If you qualify for this promotion during the promotional period, your first meal will be complimentary on your selected date. Following your initial selection, you will have 14 days to cancel your subscription. If you do not cancel within this period, you will automatically be enrolled in the plan you chose.
Our order process allows you to check and amend any errors before submitting your order to us. Please take the time to read and check your order on each page of the order process.
Upon completing the registration process and creating your account, you will receive an email from us ("Confirmation") to verify and acknowledge your order. Kindly note that the legally binding contract between us will only come into effect upon the transmission of the Confirmation email from our end.
On rare occasions, we may encounter a shortage of a specific meal or ingredients. In such instances, we reserve the right to replace that item with an alternative dish within your meal plan. To ensure transparency, we will notify you via email in advance of this substitution. Additionally, we will provide an updated list of allergens associated with the alternative dish for your reference.
2. The 28 Thali meals
The 28 thali menus are set out on our website here.
To ensure a safe dining experience, individuals with food allergies are kindly requested to thoroughly review the ingredient list of their chosen meal for potential allergens. In case of any uncertainty or concern, please do not hesitate to contact us prior to the delivery of your meal.
This tray can be collected during your next delivery for composting if you choose to do so.. Detailed storage and reheating instructions are included. Please note, that our meal trays are not compatible with OTGs, so we ask that you refrain from using one.
3. Price and payment
- Our website includes prices for our 28 Thali plans.
- Payment for your order must be made when you submit it. The payment will be collected automatically at the intervals stated in your confirmation, which are either weekly or biweekly. If we do not receive your full payment in cleared funds, we may withhold 28 Thali deliveries and/or cancel our contract.
- The prices on our website include all applicable taxes.
- Your 28 Thali service will automatically continue unless you notify us that you wish to cancel it in accordance with clause 7 below. Payment will be collected on Mondays at 12pm in the week of your delivery.
- Prices for 28 Thali may change at any time, but such changes will not affect orders that have already been placed. We will give you advance notice if our prices are likely to change.
4. Delivery policy
We only deliver to postcodes listed on our website. Our riders deliver all orders at specified time slots or days for specific areas. You'll receive an approximate delivery time on your delivery day. If you're not going to be in, please let us know your preferred safe space that's protected from the elements. We strive to deliver all 28 Thali dinners at your chosen time slots on your chosen delivery day. However, we'll keep in touch if it looks to be later than this due to weather issues, vehicle breakdown, etc.
Please note that by signing up, you agree for your phone number to be passed on to our riders. Neither they nor 28 Thali will use your personal information for anything other than the intended purpose, which is to ensure your 28 Thali gets to you on time.
If you've entered alternative delivery instructions (e.g., "leave with a neighbour" or security), this is entirely at your own risk. You'll be responsible if the 28 Thali goes missing. It's agreed that anyone at the delivery address is entitled to accept delivery.
If you're not at home when we deliver and we can't find a safe space to leave your delivery, we'll need to return the food to our headquarters. You won't be refunded for this event. If we can find a safe space to leave it, we'll take a photo and email you so you know where it is.
We take pride in the quality and freshness of our food. However, for your safety, we recommend consuming our meals within 3 hours of receiving them. We cannot be held responsible for any illness or adverse reactions if our food is consumed after this 3-hour window.
Please store and handle our meals according to the instructions provided.
You may reschedule delivery of your 28 Thali by up to 21 days (by logging into your account or emailing us at info@28Thali.com) provided you give us 4 working days prior notice.
The time your order is delivered on 28 Thali day will vary week on week depending on traffic, weather, and the number of deliveries to be made that day. If ordering regularly, you may notice that your delivery occurs at a similar time each week. However, we make no guarantee of this time and accept no liability for inconvenience or loss due to a deviation from it.
If you're going to be away on holiday and wish to pause the delivery, please email us or log into your account and move your subscription next delivery date until your return.
5. Cancellations
You may cancel your contract with us at any time by 12pm on the Monday prior to your next delivery date by writing to us at: info@28thali.com. We will not take any further payments from you after this contact.
Due to the perishable nature of our meals, once delivered, we regret to inform you that you will not be able to alter your order.
Should you encounter any dissatisfaction or concerns regarding the meal's quality or any other aspect of your dining experience, we kindly request that you promptly bring it to our attention. Please note that all refund decisions are subject to our sole discretion.
6. Refunds and exchanges
To avoid being charged, you must inform us 24 hours in advance if you wish to cancel your order. In the event that unforeseen circumstances prevent you from cancelling with at least 24 hours notice, you may be eligible for a 50% refund, subject to our sole discretion. Please note that no refunds will be provided within 6 hours of the scheduled delivery time.
Upon cancellation of your contract, if you are eligible for a refund, we typically process the reimbursement using the same payment method you used for your initial purchase. Our aim is to promptly settle any refunds due, and we endeavour to complete the process within 30 days of receiving your valid cancellation notification.
7. Limitation of Liability
28 Thali cannot be held liable for any harm or injuries exceeding the price of the food if an individual experiences an adverse health issue after consuming their cuisine. This disclaimer serves as a protective measure for the establishment, limiting their financial responsibility to the cost of the meal in the event of foodborne illness or other related health issues. It should be noted that while 28 Thali makes every effort to ensure the quality and safety of their food, factors such as food allergies, sensitivities, or underlying medical conditions may influence an individual's response to consuming certain ingredients. Therefore, it is crucial for customers to inform the kitchen staff about any dietary restrictions or medical conditions they may have before placing an order. By doing so, both parties can work together to create a safe and enjoyable dining experience for all.
8. Terms & Conditions for all coupons including printed, mobile and email coupons
Coupons and promotions cannot be combined with any other offers or schemes. Each order is limited to one coupon. The 28 Thali Website & WhatsApp are the only places where coupons are valid.
